About us

The Office of the Accountant General (A&E) – II, Madhya Pradesh, which is a part of the Audit & Accounts Department functions under the Comptroller & Auditor General of India. In accordance with the Article 149 of the Constitution of India read with Section 10 of the Comptroller&Auditor General of India (Duties, Powers & Conditions of Service) Act, 1971 the Accountant General (A&E) II Madhya Pradesh is responsible for maintenance of General/Contributory Provident Fund accounts of All India Service Officers and all the employees of the State Government of Madhya Pradesh.

This office is also responsible for authorization of pensionary benefits to dignitaries like honourable judges of High Court, All India Service Officers, Lok Aayukt, Members of State Public Service Commission, Divisional Accountants, Freedom fighters and Ex-members of State Legislature and Compilation of State Pension Accounts.

The Office of the Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlements)-II, Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior came into existence in its present form in May1985. It is housed in the Lekha Bhawan situated at Jhansi Road in Gwalior along with the Office of Accountant General (A&E)-I, Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior.

Major functions of the office:

• Authorization of pensionary benefits in respect of Hon’ble Judges of High Court, All India Service Officers, Lok Ayukt, Members of State Public Service Commission, State Administrative Tribunal, Divisional Accountants, Freedom Fighters and Ex-members of State Legislature etc.
